Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir & Gauguin

Went to the Art Institute of Chicago and spent half a day wandering the corridors filled with masterpieces from the Impressionistic period - such as Renoir and Monet. My favourites were Renoir's "On the Terrace" and of course Monet's waterlilies.

Also found out that the same Palmer who owned the Palmer House that we were staying at also donated a large number of impressionistic paintings to the Art Institute.

Popped over to Millennium Park and the ice rink as well - Dad and Phil had brought over the warm weather (10C) - so unfortunately there was no free ice skating available. But we enjoyed the warm weather and the sunny, blue skies.
